In the summer months of hot weather, every place is good to find relief and move on few hours the day away from crowded places and countries sultry.
Meta Orobica privileged and immediately accessible, is without doubt the small but beautiful lake Endine.
my way Sunday, 11 July 2010 Monasterolo in that of the castle, I found unexpectedly around the lakeside village marked parking fee, but rather exorbitant: 1 Euro per hour.
Not wanting to totally for personal reasons, to pay alms to the poor town of Monasterolo, I decided to park the car in a defiladed pitch just off the shore of the lake.
gradually approached the dock laughing noticed that the few cars parked in the pay parking were mostly those of local residents have a special pass city, while the majority, clearly the property of their foresight and smart tourists Sunday, were parked everywhere. In a small village as
Monasterolo, where all commercial realities of small, family-run, survive only thanks to the money brought by tourists commuters Sunday, I do not understand what benefit they can bring the state treasury a few thousand gleaned awkwardly in 'arc of the whole season, as the offering of the poor is in force from April to September. Evidently the need
Monasterolo administration considers to compare, but the beautiful village of internationally renowned destinations where parking is regularly paid, also for the fact that it costs less.
But noting that the friendly and stingy tourists do not pay the exorbitant parking, deducting the annual expenditure for the painting in blue all over the pavement turned into a parking fee, minus the printing and delivery of free parking passes to residents, deducting the payment of overtime for local police officers used for control, perhaps at the end of the season, the wise administration of Monasterolo municipal coffers will be reflected in the substantial amount of no less than 30 or 40 Euro.
To help the poor town of Monasterolo to overcome this period of severe famine, I would suggest a collection of funds for the town itself, of course, that all parking is free again, not least to ensure that the various shops and restaurants crowded as return time.
